Ah, so you want to see how I spent the majority of my spare (and not-so-spare) time? Welcome to the world of Tealin's sketchbooks, magically digitized and placed on the World Wide Web for your viewing convenience!
If you came directly here from another web page, please, eventually check out my Main Page – there's more to this site than just drawings!
Warning: if you have a slow connection, I recommend you grab some reading material, as these pages take a while to load due to the sheer number of pictures on them.
Finally, six pages of long-awaited NEW PICTURES! I haven't drawn much Harry Potter stuff recently, so I've fleshed it out a bit with other drawings I like. I hope you don't mind.
If you hadn't caught the link before, on the previous update's pages, there's a Works in Progress page for characters I'm trying to design but haven't done to my satisfaction yet.
There is, if you didn't notice on the main page, a How-to-Draw section!
I actually don't have anything in progress right now, as I am hurtling down the dark tunnel of the last semester of animation school and therefore incapable of doing anything other than my final project. please don't expect drawings until sometime in May, at least, and I might not even be able to respond to email when the going gets really hairy. My humblest apologies to you, please don't think I hate you or anything, it's just a temporary setback.
To anyone who wants to use my pictures:
If you want to put them on your webpage, please email me with the address of your page or, if it's still under construction, the future content of it. I've given permission to almost everyone who's mailed me so far – though if your page has ANY pornography of any kind, slash or non-slash, written or drawn, you absolutely do not have my permission.
If you want to print them out, save them on your hard drive, trace them, or use them for any personal purpose, be my guest. That's why I refuse to put anti-picture-grabbing code on my page, because I don't want to stop honest people from enjoying them.
If you want to use them for a book report, art project, or any other school assignment, please make sure your teacher knows the pictures you're using are from the internet.
If you want to link to me, please make your link lead to my index page (http://tearain.tripod.com/hp/) rather than this art page.
If your desired use does not fall into any of these categories, please email me.
When you click on the name of a character, you will see any and all pictures they appear in, regardless of who might be in the picture with them or what book it is from. If you haven't read all the books, I recommend looking at the pictures sorted by book so no crucial plot moments are spoiled for you. If you go by book, yuo'll also be guaranteed to see every picture I have. My two recent updates are as yet unsorted because I only have so much time.
Most of these are rough sketches. In many of them you can see the circles and lines I used to construct the characters. I've kept these in as part of the creative process. Some of the pictures have been coloured on the computer. This takes a very long time so there aren't many of them. They also tend to take some of the life out of the drawing, so I don't like doing them much.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Drawings from no particular book
This last category is mostly just designs of characters that appear in all or most of the books. Their commentaries will not give away anything about the book if you haven't read it yet. I hope. I try to keep it that way.
The update from May, 2001
The update from January, 2002
I'm still working on these pages. They take longer than the book ones. Please use the books pages for now if you want to see pictures of a character not listed here.
Fred and George Weasley
This page was created on a computer set at the resolution of 1024 x 768. It still works on other ones, but if you want to see it how I see it, set your computer that way. It's the naturally superior way, anyway, I believe.
Parlez-vous français? Il y a, maintenant, une page français! Merci très beaucoup à Marie, qui a traducé cette page (et autres) à français, et parle ça langue plus bien que moi...
